榮華老婆餅 wife biscuit

Wing Wah (榮華) is one of the two most popular wife cakes makers in Hong Kong. Their first restaurant-bakery (they are famous for Chinese preserved meat too) was opened in 1950, and has now expanded into a catering chain with over 30 outlets in Hong Kong.
Wife cake (老婆餅; lou po beng) is a Chinese pastry traditionally made of winter melons paste. Wife cakes these days came in variety of favours though; such as red bean, almond, coffee, green tea, sesame seed, lotus seed and cheese etc.

在部分產品中加入國學知識或民間典故，和顧客附庸風雅一番。這包括了王羲之以對聯勸退小偷；窮農夫以對聯智退債主；甚至有「老婆餅」的典故！傳說古時有一對貧窮的夫婦，為了替家翁治病，妻子甘願賣身。失去妻子的丈夫卻沒氣餒，努力研製出一款美味餅食，終於靠賣餅賺錢把妻子贖回。這就是流傳至今的老婆餅！

Hing Fat Restaurant (興發燒味茶餐廳

Hing Fat Restaurant (興發燒味茶餐廳) at Ashley Road (亞士厘道), Tsim Sha Tsui. The food was decent; the price was shocking by Malaysian standards, but pretty normal in Hong Kong. All the food are fresh and must try.

Mak Mun Kee, Parkes Street, Hong Kong

Mak Mun Kee Noodle House (麥文記麵家) is quite famous in Kowloon’s Jordan area for its dumpling noodles (雲吞麵; wantan noodle). It’s located at Parkes Street. The wantan filled with a big prawn, the mee very QQ feel.

Curry fish ball, Temple Street

Remember TVB always show they like to eat curry fish ball(加哩鱼丸）after try only know. They have curry fish ball, fried pig skin, big octupos.

Food At Ocean Park Hong Kong

Next time when visit Ocean Park, remenber to try those three food. Very local taste.

Stinky Tofu,Mongkok,Hong Kong

Stinky tofu (臭豆腐; chou doufu) is a fermented bean curd that stinks. It’s an iconic Hong Kong street food and can be found at some other places in China and Taiwan.
It’s not easy to find stinky tofu in Hong Kong these days; luckily we still managed to spot (or smell) some eateries selling it around Ladies Street in Mongkok (旺角) when we visit Hong Kong.

This was my first try on stinky tofu (in any places)… the smell stunk but not as bad as expected. Most people who tried it before would suggest that it smells bad but taste ok (or good), and it’s quite true. It’s a bit salty but it’s edible… no way near as bad as how it smelled.
On positive note, Hong Kong style stinky tofu is normally deep fried and had a crunchy texture on the outside, while spongy in the inside… it’s nice.If want it taste better put some sweet and chili sauce.
It’s an adventurous experience, but I don’t think I would ever become a stinky tofu fan… I don’t mind trying other styles of stinky tofu though when I spot it somewhere else.

Honda has just dropped the curtain on its brand-new City economy car that's now officially on sale in Thailand. No, we won't get this car in the States; it's destined to remain primarily in Asia and emerging markets. That's a shame, 'cause we can see plenty to like here, starting with its powertrain. A 1.5-liter i-VTEC engine sends a healthy 120 horsepower to the front wheels through either an automatic or manual transmission with five speeds. As you might imagine, it will positively sip fuel in the process. In Thailand, the new City will sell for 524,000 – 694,000 baht.

Vietnam Kitchen at Leisure Mall, Cheras

Fresh Prawn Spring Roll. It costs RM6.90. It came in 4 pieces and a plate of dipping sauce. The spring rolls were wrapped with fresh shredded carrots, and cucumbers. There were also chives, vermicelli, prawns and some vegetables(smell like herbs) to wrap together with very thin "cheung fun".
Hot Lemongrass Tea which was priced at RM4.90. It was nice. Lemongrass tea as it tend to give us a soothing and comfortable feeling. It smells superb.

All in one dish that include popiah, grill meat ball, meehoon and vege.

Chicken wing I like to eat. A must side order

Curry chicken rice.The malaysian most wanted food. The spices aroma that you cannot resite.

Water Chestnut with Egg drink. It was priced at RM4.90. It's a cold and refreshing drink. With the egg pieces and chunks of chestnuts, it's quite fun to drink this down while eating the chestnuts.
